Cushman & Wakefield advised to Room Mate in the rental operation of its new headquarters

Room Mate Group will relocates its headquarters to a small palace of more than 2,900 m2 located in Malasaña neighborhood specifically Calle de la Palma 10, Madrid. The hotel company has just closed the signing of the rental of the property, owned by Royal   Metropolitan   and one of the most unique in the area, in an operation that has counted on the advice of Cushman & Wakefield.  
The palace has a total area of 2,922 m2 (2,896  m2 built), of which 2,391  m2 they are rented on flush of offices.  Building  also has 346 m2  divided in two terraces and a basement with 11 parking spaces and 439 m2

The new headquarters of   Room   Mate   Group   have   A long history, since the building was built in 1788 by Charles III as the Royal Candle Factory.   Among other uses, was the Chocolate Factory of Matías López and the headquarters of the Bakers' Guild.  Between 2001 and 2014 it hosted the headquarters of the advertising agency J. Walter Thomson  (JWT), while in 2015 it was selected by House Decor for your annual exhibition.   

The building was rehabilitated in 2001, in a process led by J. Walter Thomson  (JWT) which maintained the original neoclassical facade and some of the rooms on the first and second floors. The third and fourth floors, as well as the large interior glazed space, are newly built.
