Cushman & Wakefield estimates that the opening of new retail parks will increase fivefold in 2018

The opening of retail parks will reach an area of 180,000 sqm in Spain during the current year, according to the international real estate consultancy Cushman & Wakefield. This figure is almost five times the 38,000 sqm registered in 2017, year in which the annual increase was 85%. In the last twelve months, the volume of investment in the segment has reached 650 million euros, with a prime return of 5%.

The Vidanova Parc project, in Sagunto (Valencian Community), is the largest opening planned for this year, with a gross leasable area (GLA) of 45,000 m2, followed by the Torrevillage commercial park (Zaragoza, Aragón), with 35,000 m2, and for the space Jaén Plaza (Jaén, Andalusia), with 29,000 m2.
