The trading volume of office buildings in Madrid has closed 2017 with the best results of the last 10 years, with a total of 543,000 m2, which represents an increase of 31% compared to 2016. These exceptional figures are the best since 2007, year in which contracts were signed for a total of 745,000 m2. The demand in the last quarter of the year involved the hiring of 220,750 m2, also close to the 257,414 m2 of 2007 and 83% more than in the same period of 2016.

According to Javier Bernades, Partner and Director of Business Space of Cushman & Wakefield Spain, "these figures confirm the good moment that the office market in Spain is going through, and the consolidation of a city like Madrid that, due to its characteristics, is positioned as a focus of attraction of big companies ".
