The French fashion house Sonia Rykiel the designer opened his first store in Spain in the street Claudio Coello 79, Madrid. The restaurant has 230m2 ground floor area and share with other international luxury brands such as Diana Von Fustenberg, Wolford, Tara Jarmon, Diptyque o Eres you taking the place of lingerie shop Agent Provocateur. Advised by Cushman & Wakefield have been placed just 50 meters Ortega y Gasset in the exclusive Salamanca district of the capital.
Designer Sonia Rykiel was crowned as one of the most recognized designers and attributed the title of "Queen of point" and creator of demodé style. Since 1968 it was established at the height of fashion in Saint-Germain-des - Prés in Paris where his flagship store has become an emblem of the neighborhood. It currently has a presence in about 16 countries among which stands out the New York boutique that reopened on Madison Avenue in 2016 after several years without presence in the capital of fashion. Since joining Julie de Libran in 2014 as artistic director the house has taken new airs and energies returning it to be one of the most sought-after brands of the moment. Sonia Rykiel died in August 2016 at age 86 leaving a unique legacy and creating a unique style that will last for many generations.
